So the Bahmanns are leaving from L’Agulhas and we from good old Pennington. With all the bureaucracy and costs levied by
So, Agulhas to Addis it will be.
Each African country seems to want to outdo their neighbour in trying to put off the Mzungu ( as we whities are known further N) from visiting, their neck of the woods and soon ‘R WE MAD?’ was heard from Lorna’s and my lips with regularity. Every country requires a different set of stickers, triangles, visas, currency and the list goes on & on. Then you start reading other travelers blogs about surly officials, exorbitant park fees, rubbish tips for camp sites and we just have to ask ourselves ‘R WE MAD?’ Who is going to check the house, cut the lawn, pay the accounts while we are away? How are we going to keep in contact with everyone and what about speaking to Kelli & Tyron, ‘R WE MAD?’
Slowly but surely we realized WE R MAD and so the idea of ‘R WE MAD?’ was conceived. We hope you enjoy reading about our travels as much as we know we are going to enjoy the real thing.
