Africa's drivers claim another victim

On Sunday the 6th, exactly 30 days after Mad 1, Konstantin suffered the same fate. Uli was traveling at about 40km/h , at a bend in the road a maniacal African driver, who was on the wrong side of the road, plowed into Konstantin. Uli managed to swerve enough to avoid Anka getting injured. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Konstantin. However, the good news is that both Uli & Anka suffered no injuries.
Their trip back to Addis is a long story, which Anka will type and send to us in due course. The upside of their fate is we get to be updated with their travel news as they have booked into a hotel, which is not only clean, has all the amenities and they work, but it has internet access. You guessed it-German owned. Its unbelievable the only establishments that we have found of any value on this trip, have been either German or Swiss owned.
So, while the rest of Ethiopia celebrates their new year, the Amharic calender runs 7 years behind ours and today the 11 September is New Year, Uli and Anka can send us the updates for the blog.
